04Google API Services User Data Policy
Hank’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When a Hank user connects their Google Calendar, Hank requests the following Google account data:
- Calendar events on calendars the user owns — used solely to create appointment events when Hank books a job, and to update or delete those same events when a customer reschedules or cancels. Hank does not read events created outside Hank.
- Free/busy availability windows— used solely to avoid offering customers appointment times that conflict with the owner’s existing commitments. Hank does not read event titles, descriptions, or attendees through this access.
We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Hank service (for example, our hosting provider, Firebase by Google), for security reasons, or to comply with applicable law. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), or it is required by law.
Connected users may revoke Hank’s access to their Google account at any time through the Hank app’s Calendar Connections screen, or via Google Account permissions. Revoking access deletes the stored refresh token from our systems within 24 hours.
05Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and analyze how the Site is used. You can typically control cookies through your browser settings.
06Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
